Out of anyone I have ever worked with musically, my friend Long Vo has been the greatest help in getting my music and name out to all of you. This web site, my weekly downloads, my motivation to put a band together and do shows, etc. are all because of Long's advice and help. The simple fact is that if it weren't for Long I wouldn't be progressing as well as I am now, and we're just getting started.

Hello, all. This week I am releasing the second half of my first ever solo project under the name Symptoms of the Free Mind. (NOTE: You can download the first half of in the last free download blog post.)

Symptoms of the Free Mind is also the name of my new band and we are now in the process of booking our first show. If you're in the NYC area, be on the look out for updates on that. I'll need as many of you there as possible.

My first official ep, Today is the Last Today, is coming very soon. The songs are off getting mastered. Come to think of it, I should've gotten them back by now. That the crap, son?!?!?! I'm going to check on that now.

I think a picture of Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Malcom X should be hanging up on EVERY recording studio wall. At least then maybe we would have second thoughts before doing things like this:

I mean, at what point do you wake up and think to yourself, "I don't want to ever amount to anything in life." Sometimes I don't want to ever have children so not to risk them ever meeting people like this.

Yesterday, while using the restroom, my phone went from 12:43pm to 12:42pm. Then, two minutes later it jumped to 12:45pm. Either AT&T has issues or I just discovered that I have the power to travel through time.

A lot of you have become friends, fans, and followers late in the Q.Ledbetter game, so over the next couple of weeks I will be releasing past tracks in bulk. This is partially because at this point I have released almost all of my studio tracks (except any from the forthcoming EP).

Anyways, these tracks are new to most of you and I don't want to sell you all short by only releasing demos of songs. Just give me some time to record some brand new off-project joints for you guys.

I have made a recent observation that is unsettling. When I usually pass people on the street and hear tiny bits of their conversations, they are usually complaining about something. We can't wait to tell each other about how bad our days went and how someone didn't hold the elevator for us. We go through insignificant hardships and we count down the moments until we can see our friends and tell them how upset you are about whatever.

Upon making this observation, I realized that I am guilty of the same thing and that upset me. I am making an effort to see the brighter things and to keep my personal pet peeves to myself and not lay them on anyone else. If I can deal with my bad day without having to complain to anyone, then that's what the heck I'll do.
