A ture story and valuable lesson
A script reading was held during the production of Quentin Tarantino's movie Kill Bill Vol. II. The actor who was selected to play the role of Mexican pimp, Esteban Vihaio called last minute and said he could not make the reading. Michael Parks who played the VERY small role of Earl McGraw (Texas ranger) happened to be there and offered to fill in reading the role of Esteban; merely with the intention of filling in for that day only.
Michael Parks did such a good job reading the part that he was asked to replace the original actor, AND keep his much smaller role of Earl McGraw on top of that.
THE LESSON: Show up, or get shown up!
