Above is the time and place of the next Poonanza. If you don't know what a Poonanza is, then here is your chance to witness the greatest comedy show in the DC area. I think I'll be in it (not sure yet); it depends on what sketches are written. Chances are I will be, though. In any case, I'll be there and in full effect.

I'm not going to ask you to come. I expect you to be there ;)

Today marks the beginning of my last week in VA and I'm getting more and more nervous as the days pass. Excited and happy, but nervous at the same time. Its a funky feelin' man.

Last night I called a female friend of mine, but I got her voicemail. While leaving my message I hiccuped really loud. I trailed off of my voicemail objective and immediately began to explain that I had just hiccuped and was embarassed abou it. In the end my focus just kinda staggered until I hung up. It was pretty awkward.

How was your Thanksgiving (for those of you who celebrate)? Mine was pretty cool. I got to hang out with my family as a full Ledbetter Unit, which rarely ever happens. We went to Atlanta to visit my sister. People from big cities come to Northern Virgina and say that DC is slow. These people haven't been to Atlanta. The great thing about Atlanta is the cost of living. You can rent a mini mansion in The ATL for $10 a month. No I didn't forget any zero's or decimals. You can really do it for $10 a month. If you bargain right, then you can bribe your landlord with Halloween candy for a free hot tub.

What I'm trying to say is that a monthly payment for a really nice townhouse in Washington, DC is $2,500 (at least) and $5,000 in Manhattan. That same townhouse will cost you $850 a month in Atlanta.

On the way home we passed through South Carolina. Its even slower than Atlanta. The roads are made of quicksand.

We stopped off in North Carolina for a family thing. My parents are both from North Carolina. My mom is from Greensboro and my dad is from Hamlet. If you haven't been to Hamlet, North Carolina, allow me to offer these visuals:

NOTE: These are actual photos of Hamlet, North Carolina.

I am convinced that Hamlet, North Carolina is actually a rip in the Space/Time Continum. Time does not exist there. Its like Never Never Land. Before this past Saturday my brother and I hadn't been there in 10 years. From 1997 until 2007 (today) there has been no development in Hamlet, North Carolina. The same buildings, the same people, the same roads, etc.

Besides one Subway....

(this one....I'm serious)

....there is nothing new in Hamlet, North Carolina. Don't go there.

Save the town meeting agenda this time, Mayor. There is no new business.

Ok...I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Love yourself.
Love someone else.
Let 'em know.
